Nutra Bone Tea 20’s

Nutra Bone Tea is a herbal infusion taken for everyday joint and bone comfort, built from ten botanicals including rosehip, nettle, turmeric, ginger and green tea. Each biodegradable bag takes three infusions, so a box of twenty gives up to forty cups, and it is vegan, kosher certified and free from gluten, dairy, soya and added sugar. Please check the full botanical list with our pharmacist before you start if you take a blood thinner or anything for blood pressure, because two of the ten matter for those.

Nutra Bone Tea, Ten Botanicals in One Cup

Nutra Bone Tea is a ten-botanical herbal infusion taken for everyday joint and bone comfort, built from rosehip, nettle, turmeric, ginger and green tea. Twenty biodegradable bags, each good for three infusions.

This is a tea rather than a supplement, and that distinction is worth making plainly, because it changes what to expect from it. A tea is a pleasant daily habit rather than a measured dose, and the pleasure of this one is the depth ten botanicals give a cup. Here is everything in the blend, how to brew it, what makes the packaging unusual, how much caffeine it carries, and the things to check with us first.

What Is in Nutra Bone Tea

Ten botanicals, with the two largest declared by percentage.

  • Green tea, twenty per cent. The base of the blend, lightly caffeinated.
  • Ginger, fifteen per cent. The warmth you taste first.
  • Rosehip. The dried fruit of the wild rose, tart and bright, and the ingredient the blend is named for in the title.
  • Nettle. The leaf, dried, with a green and slightly savoury note.
  • Turmeric, the rhizome that gives the cup its colour, and liquorice root, which is where the sweetness comes from without any sugar being added.
  • Willow bark, devil’s claw, yucca root and ginkgo biloba. Four traditional botanicals that round out the blend and give it a depth most herbal teas lack.

Worth knowing: four of those ten have real interactions with common medicines, which is why the list below the brewing instructions matters more on this tea than on most. Our pharmacist will go through them with you in a minute, and for most people there is nothing to settle.

How to Brew Nutra Bone Tea

Pour two hundred millilitres of freshly boiled water over one bag and leave it four to five minutes. Squeeze the bag gently as you lift it out. Two or three cups a day is the pattern the blend is built around.

Each bag takes three infusions. This is the part most people miss and it changes the arithmetic entirely: a box of twenty bags gives up to forty cups rather than twenty, which makes it considerably better value than the box size suggests. Keep the used bag on a saucer and come back to it within the day.

Four to five minutes is longer than you would brew black tea, and it matters. Roots and barks give up their flavour slowly, so a two-minute brew tastes thin. If you prefer it stronger, extend the time rather than adding a second bag.

The Packaging and the Caffeine

Two things set this box apart from an ordinary herbal tea and both are worth knowing before you compare it on price.

The bags are biodegradable and reusable. No plastic mesh and no bleach, and three infusions from each bag means a box of twenty behaves like a box of forty. For anyone who has looked at the plastic in a conventional tea bag, this is the main reason to choose it.

It is low in caffeine rather than caffeine-free. The green tea at twenty per cent brings a little, considerably less than a cup of black tea and far less than coffee. That suits most people through the day, and if you want something for the evening ask us about the caffeine-free blends on the same shelf.

The blend is vegan, kosher certified, and free from gluten, wheat, dairy, soya and added sugar. The sweetness you taste is the liquorice.

Who This Suits

Anyone who likes a herbal tea with real depth to it rather than a single-note infusion, which is what ten botanicals buy you. People who have moved away from plastic tea bags. Anyone building a small daily ritual around looking after their joints, alongside whatever else they take. People who want something warm and savoury rather than fruity. And anyone who would rather pay for forty cups than twenty, which is what the three infusions per bag actually deliver.

Is Nutra Bone Tea Right for You?

More to settle here than on most teas, because of the botanicals rather than anything else. Please have a word with our pharmacist before you start.

  • IF YOU TAKE WARFARIN, ASPIRIN OR ANY OTHER BLOOD THINNER, SPEAK TO US FIRST, OR TO OUR DOCTOR. Three of the ten botanicals matter here: willow bark contains salicylates, the family aspirin belongs to; ginkgo biloba affects how readily blood clots; and devil’s claw has its own reported interaction with warfarin. At two or three cups a day that is worth a conversation rather than a footnote.
  • If you have high blood pressure or take anything for it, mention the liquorice. Liquorice root at a regular daily intake can raise blood pressure and lower potassium, which is well recognised and dose-related. Our pharmacist will tell you honestly whether two or three cups a day is sensible for you.
  • If you have a stomach ulcer or take anything for reflux, ask us about the devil’s claw. It is traditionally avoided where there is an active ulcer.
  • If you are allergic to aspirin or salicylates, this blend is one to check. The willow bark is the reason, and our pharmacist will point you at a different tea.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding? Several of these botanicals are traditionally avoided in both, so please ask our doctor rather than us. It takes one visit.

Storing It

Keep the box closed in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and away from anything strongly scented, because dried botanicals take up smells from whatever sits beside them. Away from the kettle and the sink, since steam is what spoils a tea box fastest. A reused bag should be kept on a saucer and finished within the day rather than left overnight.

Where to Buy Nutra Bone Tea in Kenya

Order online and we deliver countrywide, or collect from our pharmacy at Kahawa Sukari Shopping Center, Nairobi. We send orders to Nairobi and every neighbourhood around it — the CBD, Westlands, Parklands, Gigiri, Muthaiga, Runda, Rosslyn, Kitisuru, Lower Kabete, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Karen, Langata, South B, South C, Eastleigh, Buruburu, Donholm, Embakasi, Ngong Road, Kasarani, Roysambu, Zimmerman, Githurai, Ruaka, Banana Hill, Two Rivers, Village Market and Pride Lands — and across Kiambu, Thika, Juja, Ruiru, Kikuyu, Limuru and Ngong.

Beyond the capital we deliver to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Machakos, Athi River, Kitengela, Kajiado, Naivasha, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kisii, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega, Vihiga, Webuye, Kitale, Nandi Hills, Iten, Kapenguria, Embu, Meru, Chuka, Kerugoya, Murang’a, Othaya, Nyahururu, Nanyuki, Maralal, Isiolo, Marsabit, Moyale, Wajir, Mandera, Garissa, Lodwar, Kitui, Mwingi, Makueni, Emali, Kibwezi, Voi, Taveta, Wundanyi, Mariakani, Diani, Ukunda, Kilifi, Watamu, Malindi, Lamu and Hola. A box of twenty bags gives up to forty cups, since each bag takes three infusions, so most customers outside Nairobi order two boxes at a time and we pack them to travel.

Across Africa, ask us before you order. We have sent orders to Uganda, Tanzania, Somaliland and as far as Malawi, and we will quote for Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and the rest of the continent. Herbal infusions travel easily and weigh almost nothing, so this is one of the simplest things we send across a border. A few countries restrict willow bark or liquorice in food products, so tell us the destination and we will confirm before the parcel leaves us.

Living abroad? Order from wherever you are and we deliver to your family here in Kenya. Kenyans in the UK, the United States, Canada, South Africa and the Gulf order from us regularly for parents and relatives at home. A box of tea is an easy and welcome thing to send, and it keeps for a long time. On this one we would ask you to tell us whether the person drinking it takes any blood-thinning medicine or has high blood pressure, because two of the botanicals here matter for both. Then we will set up the repeat.

Why Buy Your Nutra Bone Tea from HealthAlone Kenya?

HealthAlone is a pharmacist-led health ecosystem licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, and our stock is original, sealed and correctly stored. Kahawa Sukari is a real counter with real pharmacists behind it.

Our pharmacists will read you the full botanical list rather than the headline two, ask about any blood thinner, aspirin sensitivity, blood pressure medicine or stomach ulcer before you buy, explain why liquorice at two or three cups a day is worth knowing about, and tell you honestly that a herbal tea is a pleasant daily habit rather than a substitute for a bone supplement. Our doctor is here too if you would rather have the whole question looked at.

It is one more step in our vision: building Africa’s most trusted health ecosystem, accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Nutra Bone Tea?

A herbal infusion of ten botanicals, including rosehip, nettle, turmeric, ginger, green tea, liquorice, willow bark, devil’s claw, yucca root and ginkgo biloba. It is a tea that many people drink as part of looking after their joints and bones, rather than a supplement, and that distinction is worth holding on to.

What is actually in it, and in what proportion?

Green tea makes up twenty per cent and ginger fifteen per cent. Rosehip, nettle, turmeric, liquorice root, willow bark, devil’s claw, yucca root and ginkgo biloba make up the rest. Ten botanicals in all, which is more than most herbal teas carry.

How do I brew it, and how many cups does a box give?

Two hundred millilitres of freshly boiled water over one bag, four to five minutes, then squeeze the bag gently. Each bag takes three infusions, so a box of twenty gives up to forty cups rather than twenty. Most people miss that and it changes the value considerably.

Does it contain caffeine?

A little, from the green tea at twenty per cent. Considerably less than black tea and far less than coffee, so it suits most people through the day. For the evening, ask us about the caffeine-free blends on the same shelf.

Can I drink it if I take warfarin or aspirin?

Speak to us first, or to our doctor, and this is the most important question on the page. Three of the ten botanicals matter: willow bark contains salicylates, the family aspirin belongs to; ginkgo biloba affects how readily blood clots; and devil’s claw has its own reported interaction with warfarin. At two or three cups a day that deserves a proper conversation.

I have high blood pressure. Is this blend suitable?

Ask our pharmacist, because of the liquorice. Liquorice root taken regularly can raise blood pressure and lower potassium, which is well recognised and depends on how much you drink. We will tell you honestly whether two or three cups a day is sensible for you, and point you at a different tea if it is not.

Is it suitable if I am allergic to aspirin?

Check with us. The willow bark is the reason, since salicylates are the family aspirin belongs to, and our pharmacist will show you a blend without it.

Is it vegan, and is it gluten-free?

Yes to both. It is vegan, vegetarian, kosher certified, and free from gluten, wheat, dairy, soya and added sugar. The sweetness is the liquorice rather than anything added.

Are the tea bags really reusable?

Yes, up to three times each, and they are biodegradable with no plastic mesh or bleach. Keep a used bag on a saucer and come back to it within the day rather than leaving it overnight.

Can I drink it during pregnancy?

Please ask our doctor rather than us. Several of these botanicals are traditionally avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and that is a consultation rather than a counter conversation. It takes one visit.
